Who, Me?
I'm excited to announce the launch of a new book series I co-edited with Professors David Weintraub and Ann Neely. The series is designed to get middle school children excited about exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM). Each book in the series features a different STEMM professional who shares their story as well as activities and resources to help students learn more. With this series, we hope to inspire the next generation of STEMM professionals.
No Matter Where
Documentaries are powerful visual stories that bring to life the issues and experiences of people around the world. I recently had the privilege of working with Barry Simmons from Stonecastle Pictures to create a feature length documentary about the challenges of sharing medical information across the healthcare system. This film provides a unique perspective on the complexity of the current healthcare system and how it impacts patients and providers. No Matter Where is available for purchase and viewing through Amazon, giving viewers an in-depth look at the struggles of navigating the healthcare system. I'm proud to have been a part of this project, and I'm excited to share it with the public.
Living Through Going Live

The video captures the energy, coordination, and teamwork of clinicians, IT staff, and leadership as they navigate the historic go-live event, highlighting the planning, training, and frontline challenges of adopting a comprehensive EHR that supports clinical care, test ordering, workflows, and patient engagement across the medical center. This firsthand chronicle provides insights into the scale and impact of an enterprise EHR launch at a major academic health system, showcasing both the human and technological sides of digital transformation in healthcare.
